IKOTECH LLC has received a contract from Techshot, Inc to work on a “Grant” received from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. The three year agreement engages IKOTECH with the responsibility for the successful commercialization of the QMS technology (Quadrapole magnetic flow sorting) for the isolation of pancreatic islets. IKOTECH will coordinate regulatory efforts and will provide technical support for the University of Louisville as well as the University of Arizona teams working on the project.
IKOTECH will provide magnetic cell-tracking velocimetry software and instrumentation, QMS software integration and coordinate the information technology initiatives required for the University teams. IKOTECH will be heavily involved all three years in the activities providing technical leadership and support advice regarding necessary upgrades for the QMS during year 1, conducting training and providing technical support to researchers in years 1 & 2 and assisting with the coordination of the Device Master File submission to the FDA. IKOTECH’s overall objective is to position the QMS for sales for use in research and clinical trials by the end of the 3rd year.
